Competing with the big screen

"I would like to be there..."

I am sure we have had this sentence in our mind hundreds of times why we were sitting in our sofa watching the triumph of our adored team.

But, we should also ask: "Do I really want to stay there?" I mean, you envy the people who stay in the Stadium, but what about comfort?

Your soft sofa, your hot hamburger and fresh beer next to you, the heating creating a warm environment, your own immaculate toilet looking forward to your arrival...

Supporters want to watch the match in the Stadium with all the advantages that a home can provide, but...

...a Stadium gives you the FEELINGSEMOTIONS and EXPERIENCES that your home can't.

What is coming?

Imagine a Stadium that gives all the needed tools to improve fans' enjoyment. For instance, the original possibility of pre-ordering food or keeping the track of other scores. Both contribute to the supporters' satisfaction and also does it one of the last improving in Stadiums: the existence of Wireless connection. In most of the stadiums, people can't use Internet in their smartphones. They have to leave the Stadium during the break, especially young people, to share in the Social Networks their fantastic photos inside the Stadium. And this time, could be used for advertisements, promotions or some kind of leisure activities.

Some Stadiums in United States have already installed the HD Wireless so spectators can share information and upload pictures whenever they want. For instance, Barclays Center that nowadays is the most advanced in connectivity. And the following will be the outstanding Levis Stadium.

We are looking forward this connectivity in Europe, and the first in improving this factor will be the awe-inspiring Manchester City Stadium

  So, what's next?

  2. Very nice article! What about a stadium full of sofas to watch the match like at home?
Now, seriosly. The quality of some stadiums in the most important leagues is very poor. Camp Nou, for example, is not suitable for the supporters from FC Barcelona.
